"Kudos to Customer Support / Alan"
This review is based solely on my experience as a customer. I haven't set up the gear yet, but I wanted to take a moment to publicly express my gratitude to Alan for his help with my situation. He was super nice and provided plenty of compelling reasons to transition from ADT to ADT Blue.
As a current ADT user, I've now switched over to ADT Blue, ordering directly from their site.
What I liked:
- DIY feature
- Wireless outdoor cameras
- Customer support experience
What I didn't like:
- ADT and ADT Blue seem to operate as if they’re separate entities
- Possible equipment problems
- Monitoring contract
- No fire monitoring service available yet
- 14-day trial period... it really should be 30
My main issue is that ADT and ADT Blue are basically rivals, which complicates everything: installation, billing, and customer support. I think they’re doing each other a disservice. Still, both can motivate you to make the switch.
Just a heads up, the 14-day trial period flies by. Make sure you allow yourself enough time to set up your equipment and give it a thorough test.

"I purchased an outdoor camera"
I got myself an outdoor camera, a Smart home hub, and 11 door/window sensors. Once everything arrived, I realized I should've also grabbed the doorbell camera. I called up to explain the mix-up, and now the doorbell is on its way! Appreciate it!
